Stardust: Our Cosmic Origins
"The mist of familiarity obscures from us the wonder of our being."
Percy Bysshe Shelley
Most of the time we go through life without thinking about life. We just get on with it. That is what we are designed to do, designed by evolution to cope with whatever life throws at us so that we can survive and reproduce.
Having said that, we are also innately curious animals, with a strong sense of wonder...
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?
When not "full of care" we do ask questions. Questions like 'Where do we come from?' and 'What is the nature of reality beyond our perception of the world?'
The aim of this fascinating and wide ranging book is to answer these questions to the best of our current ability. It draws the answers from the latest findings in science and contrasts them against the views that we have inherited from previous ages.
